This car runs and drives great! I have had it for 6 years and I drive it every weekend for fun. I have also driven it to Daytona for the 24 Hour Rolex Race (watching, not racing).

I have had this Porsche out at a PCA driveway education class and put it through the paces on a race track, but only gently. (Most of the time, see dust)

When I got the car I added new 15" Yokohama tires and a Clarion stereo with 4 speakers. Then all I did was drive it for a couple of years. After doing a once-over, as well as a tune-up.

Mechanically the car is great. Scott's Autohaus in Georgetown, TX has done the mechanical work that has been necessary, I did a front brake job and a 60,000 mile major tune-up, fixed the loose steering bearing, had the dash lights fixed about 4 years ago. 3 years ago it went back and had a medium temperature start-up problem. A new accumulator fixed it right up. For the past couple of years, everything has been trouble-free. In March 2002, I went to a drivers ed PCA event in Cresson, TX and I had a blast. The car ran great. I did add a secondary oil cooler at that point.

In February 2003, I drove the car to Daytona, FL for the Rolex24 hour race (to watch, not race). 20 hours there and 20 hours back, the car ran great. It is a favorite at the HOT soccer complex, where I am the president. All the kids love the car. The Targa is especially desirable for the open air feeling of a convertible, but also pays because it had much more head room than the coupe with a sunroof. I am 6'3" and I hate the top rubbing on my balding head.

Cosmetically the car is beautiful, especially with the 3 piece, gold BBS wheels. Personally, I never thought I would own a car with gold wheels, but they were a gift (finders fee) from a friend who I turned on to a turbo 911 that needed a lot of work. The dark brown works well with the dark wheels. I think you'll agree, it looks great, however, if you don't the nice wheels, it is $1000 less with the cookie-cutters and new Yokohama's. There is one large paint chip, hiding by the Daytona magnet, strategically placed on the front hood.

The interior is all top of the line, all leather dash, etc. It had cruise control (doesn't work) and the factory alarm system doesn't work, but this was high option car when it was new. The only interior problem is that the blower fan doesn't work, not that I care, because the forced heat vents in the floor are all that is necessary. The original front leather seats are cracked, but sheep skin covers are the way to go anyway. Back seats and dash look great.

This is a great car and very sound. I hate to sell it, but we are paying cash for a new condo on April 22. I have to sell my toys to avoid taking on debt. Please feel free to call me with any questions.
